Youth Organizing Program 

 

CARECEN Youth Leadership Program

CARECEN’s youth leadership program takes place during the summer, offering opportunities for students ages 14-23 to learn about social movements and civic engagement while providing a space to exercise their leadership skills. The program is facilitated in Spanish and tailored for newcomer migrant youth.

 

Program Benefits:

  • All participating students receive a letter documenting their service hours.
  • A stipend will be awarded upon completion based on attendance and participation.

Opportunities to Engage Youth Leaders:

  • Participation in community events and workshops

  • Collaborating on projects with local organizations

  • Networking with mentors and community leaders

  • Monthly meetings of the Youth Advisory Committee to address local and state issues relevant to their community's needs, engaging in advocacy and community organizing.
