Westlake Canvassing Project - Day 1

In the face of this new era with the Trump administration, it is important to re-evaluate the needs of the community. The Westlake community located East of Downtown Los Angeles is faced with a number of issues like gentrification, lack of medical resources, housing issues/tenant rights violations, immigration status, mental health conditions and various forms of abuse, just to name a few.

By assessing the needs of the community, the Westlake Canvassing Project seeks to better understand the needs of the community with the new anti-immigrant administration so that CARECAN can attempt to provide services that better suite their needs. In doing this work, we also want to grow our membership by inviting the community members to join our efforts against the Trump administration and issues that affect their everyday lives.
