For nearly twenty years, Olga Sánchez Martínez has been running the Jesús El Buen Pastor shelter to help migrants in Southern Mexico who end up maimed when they jump onto freight trains heading north.
Now, she has opened a shelter for Central American mothers and children fleeing violence in their home countries. Because Mexico now cooperates to keep them from reaching U.S. soil, these refugees risk being deported to their deaths.
Join CARECEN and Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Sonia Nazario, author of Enrique's Journey, for a chance to meet Olga and help refugee families.
