CARECEN-LA Stands Against Islamophobia, White Supremacist Violence and Hate
Los Angeles, CA – The following statement was issued by Martha Arevalo, Executive Director of CARECEN-LA.
“To Muslim communities all over the world: Our hearts ache at the horrifying news of yet another islamophobic terrorist attack on a Mosque. This time, our brothers and sisters in New Zealand were impacted but the pain is felt around the world.
We extend our deepest condolences to the families and friends of those taken too soon. You are not alone. We are in solidarity with you and we send our love.
These moments require our communities to reflect deeply and challenge all forms of divisive rhetoric and strengthen our collective resolve. We must stand together in the face of islamophobic violence and challenge all forms white supremacy, hate and extremism.”
